A vacancy presents itself within Carntyne Transport Co Ltd for a shunter driver based on a customer premises within Poniel, Lanark.

Key Responsibilities

· Daily checks of equipment held within site.

· Positioning of trailers (various types) throughout the shift at required locations on behalf of the customer.

· Manual handling activities will form part of the shunters additional duties as and when required.

· To assist in loading and unloading as required.

Full training will be provided in all activities before these are undertaken independently.

Skills / Qualifications

• C+E driving licence essential
• Have a valid Class 1 HGV licence (with a valid CPC)
• Excellent communication skills
• ADR qualification preferred however not essential
• Punctual and reliable
• Customer focussed
• Ability to work as a team member

Tuesday - Thursday (14:45 – 23:30), Friday (09:15 – 18:30) and Saturday (06:00 – 18:30)

• £17.45 per hour, Monday to Friday with a nightshift premium of £2.78 after 19:00 hours and £21.49 per hour at the weekend
